Life with a D🦩ckhead on a typical Sunday.
D — Denial: “It’s just a bad mood.”
I — Illusion: “If I stay calm, they’ll be kind.”
C — Control: The day is managed by their face.
K — Keep Quiet: You swallow your needs to keep peace.
H — Hook: A tiny crumb of approval and you reset your hope.
E — Exhaustion: You’re tired before lunch.
A — Awakening: You clock the pattern. Again.
D — Detachment: You stop arguing with reality.
And here’s the part that keeps adults stuck:
this isn’t one bad Sunday. It’s a cycle.
You get the tension.
You do the emotional labour.
They flip it on you.
You apologise.
They soften.
You hope.
Then it resets for next weekend.
If your Sundays feel like emotional community service, this isn’t love.
It’s conditioning.
DM “SUNDAY” and I’ll send you a short reset plan to protect your nervous system, rebuild boundaries, and start breaking the cycle.
