"Good posture can be successfully acquired only when the entire mechanism of the body is under perfect control".
Posture is one of the main aspects of our classes at Physio Pilates Retford - posture in standing, posture in sitting, posture lying on your back, your side, your front; any position really! Posture is the main focus, as if we don't work on your strength and movement control in optimal postures, the benefits outside of class won't be as great.
Continue enjoying physio-led Pilates at Physio Pilates Retford, and keep on remembering that helium balloon at the crown of your head 😜

Thank you North Notts BID Ltd for your help with outdoor maintenance today. Garden is looking so much brighter 😁. Some of our spring bulbs have started popping up through the soil already, and we’re looking forward to adding more colour later this year.

The learning continues!
Jo & Angela attended an online “Pilates for Spinal Surgery” course for their continued professional development today.
As experienced Chartered Physiotherapists, we are already treating several clients with spinal issues (including surgery), but it is always good to keep up with current research and get a few other ideas to incorporate into our sessions.

Physio Pilates Retford are delighted to be exhibiting at the North Notts Health & Wellbeing Event on Wednesday 25th February, 10am – 3pm, at The Bridge Skills Hub, Worksop. We will have plenty of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy educational materials available for FREE, and throughout the day can offer advice on anything related to Neurological Physiotherapy, Elderly Rehabilitation and Pilates Rehabilitation :-).

Open to North Notts BID members, their employees and their families, the event supports healthier communities across Bassetlaw and North Nottinghamshire by bringing local organisations together in one place.

Where: Retford Little Theatre, Wharf Road, Retford. DN22 6EN.
Who’s invited: Everyone, including family and friends; children are welcome provided they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Price: Tickets are £10 each and sold on a first-come first served basis.

100% of profits will be donated to MS Support in Retford & Bassetlaw and Bassetlaw Hospice.

NEW Physio-led Pilates class, Tuesdays @ 5.30pm, starting 10th February 2026.

Due to demand and full classes, we are starting a 17th weekly Pilates class at Physio Pilates Retford.

All our classes have a maximum of 12 participants so we can tailor each class for the needs of our members. Classes run face-to-face in our bespoke studio & clinic on Chapelgate, Retford, and simultaneously live online via Zoom (12 is the combined number of participants in total). Due to the Physiotherapeutic nature of our classes, they are suitable for 16-86+ years old, can be tailored for the majority of different injuries and health conditions, and we always start with a 1:1 assessment before your first class.
