As a Kitchen Assistant at Westvilla Nursing Home, you’ll help to provide the first-class food and hospitality that enable us to give our residents exceptional all-round care and support. A healthy, nutritious diet is vital to ensuring our residents’ wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily life with us, which is why the role of Kitchen Assistant is so important. You’ll help to produce meals and create a fulfilling dining experience for every resident. There’ll be plenty of opportunities for you to get to know our residents, enhance their hospitality experience and develop your skills.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who’s committed to maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process. You should be reliable, considerate and caring in your approach. Formal qualifications aren’t necessary, although any similar experience gained in a commercial or care setting would be useful.

Westvilla- a beautiful, privately run, dual-registered home in Retford - is currently recruiting for Care Assistants.

The perfect candidate will ideally have previous relevant experience and an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.

They must be passionate about delivering top quality care, always considering the resident’s choices and their views, and respecting their independence.

As a Care Assistant your duties will include:

Personal care and hygiene
Manual handling
Completing daily logs
Light domestic duties

We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant or Support Worker who is keen to learn more and develop their career, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Residents enjoying cream cakes and scones for the Easter raffle. The event was enjoyed by all. The money raised will go into the residents fund as in previous times. A big thank you to all who donated to this event. We hope to see you all soon but in the meantime stay safe.
