Chiropractors are experts in the mechanics of the body and how it should function and can in turn diagnose and treat conditions of the spine and limbs. Chiropractic treatment is a combination of specific massage techniques, joint manipulation or mobilisation to make changes which will stretch & strengthen the necessary areas and correct postural habits. As well as manual treatment, chiropractors are able to offer advice on self-help, therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises as well as lifestyle changes. At Bodycare Chiropractic we provide care for a range of patients, who present with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Should there be a need we also offer mobile home visits.

Is shockwave therapy safe? 🤔

✅ Shockwave therapy is very safe, it has NICE guidance for many indicators and is used within the NHS. Shockwave therapy performed by qualified therapists is largely risk free.

Is shockwave therapy painful? 🤔

✅ You may experience some discomfort during treatment but the pain should be tolerable. Energy levels can be adjusted accordingly. Due to the analgesic effect of shockwave therapy many patients report immediate pain relief following treatment.

How many sessions are needed? 🤔

✅ The amount of treatment sessions will vary dependant on the type of conditions being treated. As a rule, 3-6 treatment sessions are advised. Sessions last about 20-30 minutes.
