As promised, the winner of the Children In Need "guess how many sweets in the jar" is.... ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ

Our lovely host, Paige Gardner! With a very close guess of 123 sweets, Paige was only 4 away with the actual number of sweets being 119!

Today we'd like to introduce you to Lee, one of our KA's who works with our kitchen team

Lee joined the team at Willingdon Park Manor in February 2024 when we first opened our doors! Lee has been working in the healthcare sector for many years, in various roles and its easy to see why with his warm smile and fun personality! Lee always has a smile for everyone ๐Ÿ˜„

When Lee isn't busy working, he enjoys spending time with his son, follows his team, the Minnesota Vikings in American Football and loves a good Chinese, with a particular fondness for noodles! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿœ

This week the team, residents and relatives have busy raising money for Children In Need 2025

For two weeks you could guess how many sweets we were hiding in the jar, we had great fun on Wednesday baking Pudsey inspired cakes, got started on the Christmas shopping early with a bring and buy sale on Thursday and rounded the week off with a fancy dress competition and awards! ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿ†

It was great fun and everyone got involved - thank you to everyone who joined us, had a guess how many sweets we were hiding in the jar and all those who donated ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™ We are pleased to say we raised ยฃ217.00 ๐Ÿ‘

We'll be announcing the winner of the jar of sweets on Monday!๐Ÿฌ

With the help of the residents and relatives judging the teams costumes, we were pleased to announce our fancy dress award winners were....

Today we're introducing you to Tash, one of our Care and Wellbeing Assistants ๐Ÿ‘‹

Tash joined the team at Willingdon Park Manor in February 2024. Tash has been in care roles since she was 17 years old and says the best thing about her job is making the residents happy and comfortable in what can be daunting times for some of them ๐Ÿฅฐ

When Tash isn't working, she loves travelling and studying marine biology. Tash says her favourite place she has travelled to is Switzerland because its so peaceful and surrounded by nature ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒณWhere's your favourite place to travel to? ๐Ÿค”โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ›ณ

At Hallmark, we are committed to embodying our core values and this month, our moment maker has demonstrated these principles in remarkable ways โ€“ Gabi demonstrated exceptional care and patience when a resident was unwell and required an ambulance. She provided reassurance, ensuring the resident felt dignified and comfortable during a stressful time. Even during busy periods, Gabi consistently brings joy to the residents, taking the time to explain things and make each individual feel valued. Well Done Gabi, so very well deserved ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅฐ

Residents and team participated in this years Guy Fawkes competition, ready for the upcoming 5th of November celebrations. ๐ŸŽ†
The judges were blown away by the creativity and enthusiasm displayed by The Residences (right), Devonshire (left) and South Downs (centre) communities. Evaluation criteria included resident and team involvement, the resemblance to Guy Fawkes, as well as overall effort and creativity.

We are delighted to announce that the South Downs community emerged as the overall winners, excelling in all categories and even involving family members in their efforts.
