***MEET THE TEAM MONDAY***

This morning, we're introducing you to Sam 👋

Sam joined the team here at Willingdon Park Manor in October 2024 but has been a member of the Hallmark family for 6 years, previously having worked at our Brighton home, Maycroft Manor.

Sam is one of the care team members predominantly working on Meads community however, Sam is very versatile and always willing to support the residents and teams across the whole home 😊

Sam says the best thing about her job as a carer is getting to know the residents and understanding their needs which enables her to be able to provide person centered care 🥰

When Sam’s children were young, Sam was a domestic cleaner and she loved the variety of her work which could sometimes be people’s homes or large office buildings.

📸Outside of work, Sam is passionate about reading, sharing she is currently reading “The Christmas Murders” and has a fondness for true crime and biographies. Sam is also passionate about black and white abstract photography, anything with shadows or the obscure! 📚

**MOMENT MAKER, DECEMBER - Les Anderson**
Les is always willing to give a helping hand, whether it be in his role with maintenance or doing housekeeping tasks, carer and host! He prides himself in doing the best he can and beyond. Not only does he decorate the rooms, he makes up the beds and puts clean linen in them. On rainy days, he’s the first to offer to mop the entrance floor. In the café, Les is on hand to chat to and make refreshments for residents. He really is an asset to the team. We are extremely lucky to have you Les, so well deserved! 👏

Today, we’d like to introduce you to one of our care team members, Acacia 😊

Acacia joined us in July 2025 after she spent some time travelling around Bali, Vietnam and Thailand but decided she wanted to get back into care and study to become a Nurse. Acacia has previously worked in retail and dementia care and now, predominantly works on our nursing community which she says has given her an opportunity to grow her strengths and broaden her knowledge.

Acacia says “I really enjoy looking after the residents, spending one to one time with them finding out about their lives, likes and dislikes and generally making them happy”

Acacia is also a bit of an adrenaline ju**ie and thanks to her time with the sea cadets, who she still supports, enjoys most water sports including windsurfing and sailing!

Thank you Acacia for always having a smile on your face!

Plenty of toe-tapping, clapping and sing-a-long was on the cards. Such a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by everyone!
