Funeral Service Operative

Karen previously worked in the mobility trade before joining Payne & Sons Funeral Directors. She enjoys meeting and helping different people, and supporting them during this difficult time.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys walking her dog and socialising with friends and family.

Lee Howard
Operational Support Manager

Lee Howard has been a dedicated member of Payne & Sons Funeral Directors since 2010. He is the younger brother of Christopher Howard, who co-founded the business with their parents, Donna and Rod Payne. Prior to joining the family firm, Lee worked at a local leisure centre and also received training in the military.

Over the past decade, Lee has played a key role in ensuring that every funeral is tailored to meet the unique needs of each family. He became a Funeral Director in 2015, was promoted to Area Development Manager in 2018, and took on his current role as Operational Support Manager in 2024. Lee finds great meaning in his work, saying, “Helping families through one of the hardest times in their lives is incredibly rewarding.”

Lee Williams
Funeral Arranger/ Trainee Funeral Director

Lee was a senior prison officer before joining Payne & Sons Funeral Directors, to begin a new career. He is looking forward to meeting people, and being able to alleviate the stress of a funeral.

In his spare time Lee enjoys watching most sports and spending time with his family and friends.

At Payne and Sons, we proudly recognise Armed Forces Day as a meaningful occasion to honour and thank the brave men and women who serve, past and present, in the Armed Forces, along with their families.
A big thank you to our team for putting together a wonderful window display to help promote the local event taking place on Saturday, 28th June at Five Acre Field, Lottbridge Drove, from 9:30am to 5:00pm.
