⚽️ A fantastic Saturday for team spirit at Medical Imaging Partnership!

Our Clinical Director of Strategic Development, Ian Francis, was delighted to bring three fantastic doctors, Dr Gareth Lewis, Dr Ed Rangedara, and Dr Fergus Chedgy, to Brighton’s first home fixture on Saturday, 16th August.

With our MIP clinic located within the Amex Stadium and our mobile units positioned just outside, it was the perfect setting to celebrate the strong partnerships we have with our clinicians. Opportunities like this allow us to connect outside of the clinic and show our appreciation for the expertise and commitment they bring to patient care.

A big thank you to Gareth, Ed, and Fergus for joining us, and best of luck to Brighton for the season ahead! 💙

Recently, members of the Medical Imaging Partnership team were delighted to attend the IHPN Annual Summer Drinks Reception, a fantastic opportunity to connect with peers from across the independent healthcare sector and engage with the brilliant IHPN team.

The evening brought together leaders and colleagues dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare. We were particularly inspired by insights shared by Dr Penny Dash, Chair of NHS England, whose remarks highlighted the continued importance of partnership and innovation across the sector.

Our high-quality radiology services are available to all patients, including those referred under the NHS. If your GP recommends diagnostic imaging, you may be able to choose one of our centres as part of your NHS care.

Ask your GP to refer you to Medical Imaging Partnership and take advantage of our fast access, advanced imaging, and patient-focused service.

If you’ve been referred for a diagnostic scan at one of our Medical Imaging Partnership centres as an NHS patient, here’s what you need to know:

Your GP or healthcare professional must first make a referral. Once we receive your referral, either directly from your GP or through central NHS systems, our team will contact you to arrange a suitable date, time, and location for your scan.

If your GP has provided you with a reference number to book your scan, please call our referral team directly on 01243 534 043.

We also work closely with several NHS providers who may transfer your diagnostic care to us. In these cases, you don’t need to take any action, our team will reach out to you to schedule your appointment.

A DEXA scan (also called a DXA scan) is a quick, safe, and effective way to measure bone density using low-dose X-ray technology. It helps detect conditions like osteopenia or osteoporosis, often before a fracture occurs.

Recognised by the National Osteoporosis Society as the gold standard for diagnosing osteoporosis, a DEXA scan can:

✅ Identify if your bones are weak or thinning
✅ Help predict your future risk of fractures
✅ Monitor changes in bone health over time
✅ Assess how well osteoporosis treatment is working

With very low radiation levels, this scan is safe and allows your radiographer to stay with you throughout the process.
