I’m so proud to share that I was Highly Commended at the East Sussex Care Awards 2025 for Outstanding Contribution to Social Care. 🌟

It was an honour to be recognised for the work I do in care a role that takes dedication, heart, and resilience.

The evening was a wonderful celebration of so many people making a difference in the care sector. I met some inspiring individuals, and I’m truly grateful to have been a part of it.

Thank you to everyone who nominated me, supported me, or has walked this journey alongside me you made this possible. 💛

This week, I had the opportunity to meet with Josh Babarinde MP to raise urgent concerns around the current state of Direct Payments, the treatment of private Personal Assistants (PAs), and the growing inequality in care provision.

Josh listened with real empathy and professionalism. He has personally committed to:
✅ Raising our concerns with Mark Stainton, Director of Adult Social Care.
✅ Taking the issue to Parliament if we do not receive a satisfactory response.
✅ Supporting our call for fairer funding, faster access to care.

He also encouraged me to raise these systemic issues with the Local Government Ombudsman something I’ll be doing next to ensure the voices of struggling families and unsupported PAs are formally heard.

💬 This isn’t just about me. I’m speaking for the many clients left without care, and for the private carers being undervalued and blocked by broken processes and unfair rates.

This is just the beginning , and we won’t stop until the system reflects the real-world needs of clients and carers alike.
