Healthwatch East Sussex

Healthwatch East Sussex Your health and social care champion – we make sure decision makers hear your voice and use your feedback to improve care.

Healthwatch is the consumer champion for both health and social care. It exists in two distinct forms – local Healthwatch, at local level, and Healthwatch England, at national level. Healthwatch East Sussex enables people to share their views and concerns about their local health and social care services and understand that their contribution will help build a picture of where services are doing well and where they can be improved
We are also able to alert Healthwatch England to concerns about specific care providers. In addition to this, Healthwatch East Sussex also provides people with information about their choices and what to do when things go wrong; this includes either signposting people to the relevant provider, or itself providing, support to individuals who want to complain about NHS services

Healthwatch East Sussex will provide, or signpost people to, information about local health and care services and how to access them, as well as provide authoritative, evidence-based feedback to organisations responsible for commissioning or delivering local health and social care services

High blood pressure can increase your risk of serious health problems. The good news is that the risk can be reduced and it can be treated.

Knowing your numbers is the first step! This Week, make it a priority to get your blood pressure checked.

Anyone aged 40 or over who does not already have a diagnosis of high blood pressure (or has not had their blood pressure checked by a healthcare professional in the past six months), can have a free blood pressure check at a community pharmacy.
