We’ve decided to kick off the month with a fresh start… and a very wild new addition! 🐾

Please join us in giving a warm Camelot welcome to Tim the Tiger, our newest “resident” here at Camelot Care Home 🐅

He’s already settled in nicely, enjoys lounging on the lawn, and has quite the appetite (don’t worry, the staff are safe… for now 👀).

We think he’ll fit in purr-fectly and bring plenty of excitement to our days ahead!

A lovely afternoon at the park

Our residents enjoyed a gentle trip out to the park this week to see the daffodils in bloom. It was a calm and refreshing visit, with time to sit, chat, and take in the fresh air.

It’s always nice to get out and enjoy the changing seasons together, and the daffodils were a beautiful reminder that spring is here.

We look forward to more days like this. 🌼

💐 Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Today we celebrate the wonderful mothers and grandmothers in our home who have spent their lives caring for others, sharing wisdom, creating families, and filling the world with love. Your stories, memories, strength, and kindness are a treasured part of our community, and we are so grateful to share each day with you.

Motherhood takes many forms, and today we honour every resident who has nurtured, guided, supported, and loved those around them throughout their lives. Your legacy lives on in the families you raised and the lives you’ve touched.

We would also like to recognise our incredible carers who are mums themselves. Thank you for the compassion, patience, and dedication you show every day — both to your own families and to the residents you care for. Your kindness makes such a difference.

To all the amazing mums in our home and community — we wish you a day filled with love, appreciation, and special moments. 💖

Today we are celebrating an incredible milestone as our wonderful resident Sydney turns 103 years young! 🥳

Sydney has lived through over a century of memories, history, and remarkable moments, and we feel so lucky to celebrate this special day with him. His stories, wisdom, and warm presence bring so much joy to everyone in our home.

Please join us in wishing Sydney a very happy birthday and many congratulations on such an amazing milestone! 💙

🍕 Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful pizza-making activity, getting involved in preparing their own pizzas from start to finish. It was lovely to see everyone engaged, sharing laughs, and enjoying the delicious results together.

Our residents have had a great time this morning trying out our new magic paintings from Relish.

We all loved watching all the beautiful colours appear and these are amazing as we can reuse them over and over again! 🎨🖼️

Our residents have been busy crafting gorgeous Valentine’s cards, and the results are just lovely. So much creativity, care, and love in every single one 💌
We’re incredibly proud of them!

Guess who zoomed into our care home today?
⚡🐹

Lightning the guinea pig came to visit, and he was an instant hit! From soft strokes to big smiles, our residents absolutely loved their furry little guest. We think he might have stolen a few hearts (and maybe would’ve stolen some veggies too if we let him! 🥕😄)

We are already getting ready for Valentine’s Day!

We did some rainbow painting last week and today we got to put it all up in the lounge for the residents to enjoy!

Painting isn’t about being “good at art.” It’s about feeling good while doing it.

• Keeps the mind active and engaged
• Helps reduce stress and lift mood
• Gives a way to express feelings when words are hard
• Supports hand movement and coordination
• Builds confidence and a sense of pride
• Brings people together and starts conversations
• Can spark memories and meaningful moments

Most of all, it’s enjoyable — and joy really matters at every age.

A very merry Christmas from all of us at Camelot.
We had a wonderful day filled with love and festive joy 😄. A big thank you to everyone who helped make today so great!

The residents had a lovely day singing Christmas songs, reminiscing, opening their presents and enjoying a beautiful Christmas dinner in our fabulously decorated dining room.
