HOW CHARLOTTE GREW SOME LEGS! (Naturally)!
No one wants to be walking around looking like a pigeon with a big chest, wide wings and little toothpicks sticking out the bottom, barely able to support your weight.
Growing your legs (especially when you don’t have good leg genetics) is very hard as it requires more effort and pain than any other muscle
Training your legs to failure is harder, more painful, more gruelling and more draining than training arms, chest, back etc to failure. This is the main reason why people fall short
Understanding your anatomy and finding the right movements, foot positions, angles etc that suit your own individual body’s mechanics. Simply put, not everyone has the right posture, mobility and lim length for a barbell squat.
If you aren’t progressing you aren’t growing. (For the most part) so your lifts have to be improving either by weight, reps or form.
Have structure to your sessions. With Charlotte we would pick certain stances and foot positions on certain movements to either bias the adductor (inner thigh) or lateral quad (outer thigh) to really develop that full thickness from side to side.
Realising when a movement is becoming too egotistical… if form started to get erratic and we felt she was simply chasing numbers rather than focusing on putting tension through the muscle, we could re evaluate, lower the load and correct form before continuing to push on with increasing reps/weight.
Do you struggle to grow your legs?
Do you fully understand the points made above? Or would you like some more info regarding everything I have just spoken about? Drop me a message if this doesn’t fully make sense to you or if you have any questions regarding your own training 💪🏼🔥
