We have a dedicated therapy team that can assess your needs and make recommendations that will help you, from splinting, specialised seating and support, to exercise and occupational therapy. One of our team was chatting with a resident about the cartoons they loved as children, and it sparked a plan for an afternoon of cartoon chats and trivia. A brilliant group of residents and visiting family joined in. One resident kicked things off with a short reading on the history of classic cartoons.

Soon everyone was laughing at the chaos of Tom & Jerry, smiling at the quirky charm of The Magic Roundabout, and sharing memories of the programmes that shaped their childhoods.

Huge thanks to the amazing Laura Thomson-Staveley from Phenomenal Training, who generously donated her time to support the Chaseley management team. We want to thank our Veteran Volunteers for coming in to mark Remembrance Day with our residents. Your time, your stories, and your presence mean a great deal here at Chaseley.

We have many people to remember, and our armed forces heritage runs deep in this home. From our early days in 1946 caring for injured servicemen to the veterans who still live and visit here, this history shapes who we are.

As the days get shorter and the chill sets in, there’s still plenty of warmth and laughter at Chaseley. Bingo remains a firm favourite, but you’ll also find residents and staff gathered in the CasBar for quizzes, a game of chess, or just enjoying good music and great company.

The CasBar’s been so busy lately you’d think we were giving out free pints! 🍻
