3 things I’d do to ensure our Q4 staff training programme runs smoothly

Plan around busy seasons - poor planning = low attendance. The end of the year is a busy time for holidays, ensure your staff are available to take the course.

Mix compliance with development - ensure your staff are feeling rewarded by including developmental training into their plan, not just what is needed by the company but wanted by them too.

Communicate early - give your staff all of the information required early enough for them to plan their calendar. Do they know the location/timings/what they’ll need/what to expect. Help them prepare.

"I'm a qualified and experienced trainer, delivering a wide range of First Aid courses—from Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) through to more advanced training, including FREC 3 and Medical Gases.

In addition to First Aid, I also teach and assess SIA courses for the security industry. I take great pride in knowing that every person I train is better prepared to respond confidently in real-world situations—potentially making a life-saving difference when it matters most.

I bring hands-on experience from years of working in event medical support, supporting over a dozen companies, mainly at sports events and festivals. I’m passionate about what I do, and I always aim to make my sessions engaging, practical, and enjoyable.

"Could you afford to pay out £5,360 tomorrow??

That’s how much a construction company has been fined recently for exposing staff to asbestos during work in a pub.
Inspectors discovered that the contractors had failed to comply to procedures when removing 12 square metres of asbestos insulation board.

So, for not completing the survey needed, the construction company is now £5,360 out of pocket, and their reputation will have no doubt taken a hit too.
