A little reminder for today 🫶

Feeding your baby, responding to their needs, getting through the long days (and nights), and showing up again tomorrow takes strength. Even when it feels ordinary or unnoticed.

However today is going, be kind to yourself. You are enough, and you are doing better than you think! 💜

❗A small but important notice about clinic appointments.

Over the past month we’ve had a number of very late cancellations and missed appointments. We completely understand that life with little ones can be unpredictable and sometimes things are simply out of your control.

However, when appointments are cancelled at very short notice, it means we’re often unable to offer that space to another mum who may be waiting for support. At the moment, families are waiting around two weeks on average for an appointment, and for some, timely support can make a real difference to their breastfeeding journey.

Last-minute cancellations also mean that valuable charity funding and time already set aside by our volunteers and staff can’t always be redirected.

If you do need to cancel, please let us know as early as possible by email or by sending us a message through our social media pages so we can offer the appointment to another family who may need it.

Thank you so much for helping us make sure support reaches as many families as possible. 💜

Our amazing volunteers; Amy, Izzy and Jayne worked hard to make the Cafe easter themed this week, we had a selfie corner, sensory play and crafts.

A lot goes on behind the scenes and even a simple themed event takes planning, time and commitment and we are extremely grateful to our volunteers that show up week after week for the charity,

thanks also to our amazing mums for the support we have loved seeing your pictures and look forward to hosting some more themed cafes in the future! 🐰💜

We’re proud to share that we’ve recently been added to the Hearts and Minds Map! ✨

Their map helps signpost families across the UK to trusted mental health support services, and we know how important that support can be, especially for mums during the early days of feeding and caring for a baby.

Alongside breastfeeding support, we’re proud to have trained mental health peer supporters within our team, who support others by sharing their own lived experiences. You can find them at our 💕

You’re always welcome to come along to our Breastfeeding Café if you ever need a listening ear and some support. 💜

Today, we had the privilege of hearing from some of our incredible volunteers. They shared their personal journeys with honesty and courage, speaking about the challenges they’ve faced, as well as the positive impact being part of our charity has had on their lives.

Their stories were a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. We’re so grateful to each and every one of them for their openness, resilience, and continued support. Thank you to all of you who came along today and showed your support 💜

A little update for our Breastfeeding Café families 📣☕

You may have noticed that our group has become wonderfully busy, which is lovely to see! To help keep the space safe, comfortable and easy to move around in (especially with little ones), we’ve made a few small layout changes to the room.

Prams will now be parked at the front of the hall, bags kept to the side, and our refreshments trolley will be just outside the hall door in the foyer. We’ve also adjusted how the mats are arranged so we can make space and see everyone! 🫶🏻

Thank you to all our mums for helping us keep the café welcoming and safe for all. 💜
