Guess what refresher session CTTC are holding today?!

On Wednesday 2nd July 2025 CTTC hosted the FHT’s local support group meeting with the lovely Sarah Hill. Sarah began by describing the interesting therapy of Craniosacral Therapy. Explaining the origins of therapy in osteopathy. Describing the treatment and how the stillness of the treatment by being in the present with holding and quietness, allowing the client to "just be". Consultations were discussed, along with the nervous system and chemical change. Allowing the client to inhabit their body more comfortably to release and let go, this is especially good for clients with ME, autoimmune disorders and good for those not wishing to remove their clothes or be touched. This therapy is also good for working through traumas or when the body is overwhelmed. Two members who had received a treatment from Sarah shared their experience explaining that it was like an internal reset, powerful yet gentle, experiencing feelings of light, heavy, hot, cold and vibrations. We also agreed that as therapists we are always improving. We observed a short demonstration which brought calmness to the room on a hot evening. We compared this wonderful therapy to Reiki and discussed the differences they offer.

Our helper Linda could not make the meeting so we trialled our first remote attendance to a meeting which ran smoothly, further information to come.

We enjoyed a selection of teas along with a variety of cakes.

This allowed us to achieve 2 CPD points.
