On Wednesday 8th April CTTC welcomed Eastbourne's FHT Group with Stephanie Robertshaw as our Guest Speaker on Mindfulness and how we can incorporate practices for ourselves and also our clients.

Stephanie began with a senses game which encouraged us to think of 5 things that we could see, 4 things we could hear, 3 things we could feel, 2 things we could taste and 1 thing we could smell. This experience brought us into the present and allowed us to pay attention. We then practiced a body scan whilst being guided by Stephanie, followed by some breath awareness work to help reduce tension in the body. Teas and cakes were served by Linda, our tea lady! which we enjoyed whilst being mindful.

We then created our own sustainer list followed by a drainer list and how we can change those drainers into sustainers. To finish we completed our practice with an object to anchor our attention and help to ground us. 2 CPDs were achieved.

Further info on Mindulness with Stephanie can be found at

Box breathing is a great breathing technique to use when you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed. It can help with regulation and maintaining mental clarity.
Why not take a moment now to breathe in — and out 🧘‍♀️
