🆕 *There’s been an update to bowel cancer screening.*

Bowel screening FIT kits are sent to everyone aged between 50 and 74.

When they’re sent back, completed kits will be checked at a lower threshold. This means that even smaller amounts of blood can be spotted and if found, get patients referred for more tests earlier.

This helps find early signs of bowel cancer sooner, when treatment is more successful.

When you get your kit in the post, pop it somewhere you’ll remember — by the loo is easiest.

🆕 *Big update to childhood vaccinations.*

Chickenpox protection has been added to routine NHS childhood jabs.

The routine MMR jab is being replaced with the *MMRV vaccine* – one combined jab that protects against measles, mumps, rubella – *and chickenpox.*
