**We all need to get moving more!** Back pain is crippling us and our economy. Approximately 8 million adults in the UK report chronic pain that is moderate to severely disabling. Back pain alone accounts for 40% of sickness absence. The Office for National Statistics reported almost 31 million days of work were lost in 2013 due to back, neck and muscle problems, costing the UK economy £14bn a year. How many of you have thought about your wishes of future care? In the coming months our local NHS trust is rolling out the new ReSPECT form that will be used to help guide medical professionals to deliver care that is important to you in an emergency situation. I've just completed my training today which will be used in my role at St Wilfrid's Hospice. Learn more here:

ReSPECT is a process that creates personalised recommendations for a person’s clinical care in a future emergency in which they are unable to make or express choices.

A new year and a new floor. Physiobourne HQ is getting an upgrade. Hopefully it will be completed this week and clinics can start running from this site again. In the meantime we will be working out of the Brighton University site in Meads.
