On the South Coast, Shelley, Parmindar, and Sonya organised a fantastic day out to the Isle of Wight with the people we support: Rosie and Martin from Totton, and Dan, Jason, and Chris from Leigh Road.
The day began with everyone meeting at the Red Funnel Terminal, where they boarded the ferry to East Cowes. The hour-long crossing over the Solent was enjoyed by all.
Once they arrived, Shelley and Parmindar drove the group to Ryde, where the first stop was the beach – a highlight that everyone loved. After some seaside fun, they headed to Harbour House on the esplanade for a tasty lunch.
The group then explored the local arcades and shops. Rosie picked out a beautiful necklace and bracelet made of shells, Chris treated himself to four fridge magnets, Jason bought two fridge magnets, an Isle of Wight purse, and a sugar dummy, while Dan chose fridge magnets and keyrings as souvenirs.
Later, they visited a pub for refreshments before beginning their journey back. On the ferry home, the group enjoyed browsing the onboard shops before finding seats to relax after their busy day.
Everyone had a wonderful time, and it was a trip filled with fun, laughter, and great memories. A big well done to Parmindar, Shelley, and Sonya for organising and supporting such a brilliant day out!
