Heart Medicine with Charlie Thomas I have been reading cards and practicing aspects of Intuitive Energy Healing for the last six years. My journey is ongoing, a path I will ever be walking.

Fire energy is back baby, and I feel a collective “thank f**k for that”! The time has come to emerge from Cancers’ healing waters; we are done with inward reflection and hiding from the world in the safety of our crabby shell. Leo’s loud and proud energy encourages an outward and excitable state of play. Much like its ruling Sun, this is the season all about how we can shine our beautiful and radiant light into the world. 

The fifth sign of the zodiac encourages pride, it asks that you honour yourself fully and be unapologetically you, because authentic self-expression is your birthright. Lean on the Lion’s courageous heart to distance yourself from areas and people in your life that seem to put a dimmer on your sparkle. 

Allow the fire to ignite - passion projects, creative joy, fierce confidence and child-like play! This is the season to step into your personal power and explore your eccentricities, go bold my love! Claim the part of life’s stage that is made for you, and you alone; there is a crown for all of us, don’t let the warped constructs of a f**ked society tell you otherwise.

PICK A CARD, CANCER NEW MOON

With a New Moon comes a time to set New intentions, and with the glorious Jupiter magnifying that intent, make sure whatever dreams you put out into the world are truly rooted in your most authentic heart of hearts. 

This Cancer crabby moon asks us to come home to ourselves, to find that place of stillness within. The ocean in which we reside may be stormy, waves crashing with overwhelm, with the heavy, with the suppressed. Don’t fear the immensity of what may be surfacing, it is a true gift, an opportunity to work through all that keeps you from feeling safe and releasing it for good. 

Cancer wants us to have sanctuary and stability, but we have to nurture ourselves to enter this space and settle in. In supporting and creating ways that tend to our emotional well-being, we build a solid sense of self that will embolden us in everything else we do moving forward. 

Tend to yourself my loves and dream as big as your beautiful heart.

SUMMER SOLSTICE 

The sun has climbed to its highest point in the sky; triumph! Celebrations and ceremonies abound! We welcome the longest day with the shortest shadow, and the energies are shining down on us in streams of orange and gold. 

Summer brings increased growth for all things, expansion is the name of the game. The radiance of the sun inspiring our inner light to shine brightly outward into the world. There is an obvious dichotomy here - solar flares activating whilst we transition into the soft healing waters of Cancer season (see previous post). One encourages us to nurture the inner world, one chants tunes of expansion and dazzlement. Wait, what; how on earth can I do both? Well, it’s an inside job first; Cancer season is setting the stage for the lion takeover come Leo season; we are initially pulling the solar energy up from the deepest of roots to nourish and support our beings so that it can burst forth from our hearts with an almighty bang of glitter in a months time. It is all connected, one serves the other; the inward draw of energy ensures the extravagant outward turn can burn as brightly as can be later in the season.

So dance and rejoice in this glorious turning of the wheel, give yourself over to the season and surrender to the gifts the natural world offers us. What is it that you desire? Speak it to the summer sun in prayer, make your body moving poetry, praise the power of elemental fire as it heats the waters that flow within. Feed your soul the medicine it deserves to ensure its wholeness, and offer it love and belief in its worthiness to receive because you DO deserve and you ARE worthy. Fill your cup first, dear ones, then feed a thirsty world when Leo season comes to play.
