On Saturday, 12th October, EBS Counselling proudly joined fellow community groups at the Eastleigh Community Showcase, hosted by Community First. The day buzzed with collaboration and shared visions, as we exchanged ideas and explored potential partnerships. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other organizations, and we came away with some superb new contacts.

EBS Counselling volunteers attended a superb training session on the menopause with on Saturday 13th July.

This online training session covered many aspects of the menopause and included dispelling myths, lived experience, symptoms and solutions. Nicola did not hesitate to share her own experience with the menopause and many of us learned a great deal from the session which will help us in our voluntary work at EBS. Two of the comments from the session are as follows –

“The training gave insight into how debilitating and alienating going through the menopause can be and enabled me to hold to mind the physical and emotional difficulties experienced by so many women “

“Nicola’s training was interesting, informative and reassuring. I appreciated hearing about Nicola’s personal experience and this led to others sharing their stories. In the context of the work we do, this was an invaluable experience”.
