On Saturday, 12th October, EBS Counselling proudly joined fellow community groups at the Eastleigh Community Showcase, hosted by Community First. The day buzzed with collaboration and shared visions, as we exchanged ideas and explored potential partnerships. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with other organizations, and we came away with some superb new contacts.

EBS Counselling volunteers attended a superb training session on the menopause with on Saturday 13th July.

This online training session covered many aspects of the menopause and included dispelling myths, lived experience, symptoms and solutions. Nicola did not hesitate to share her own experience with the menopause and many of us learned a great deal from the session which will help us in our voluntary work at EBS. Two of the comments from the session are as follows –

“The training gave insight into how debilitating and alienating going through the menopause can be and enabled me to hold to mind the physical and emotional difficulties experienced by so many women “

“Nicola’s training was interesting, informative and reassuring. I appreciated hearing about Nicola’s personal experience and this led to others sharing their stories. In the context of the work we do, this was an invaluable experience”.

Altor Foundation Donation

At EBS we are beyond grateful to have received a generous donation of £6000 from the Altor Foundation. This foundation was set up by Altor Wealth in 2019 and it receives 10% of the gross revenues of the Wealth Management company. The Foundations role is to make money and distribute it to good causes. We're so grateful to be considered as one of those causes and the money we have received will go towards costs for Administration Assistance and towards Room Hire. Thank you Altor Wealth and Altor Foundation for a donation which means so much to us. It will help us to help others when they need counselling and to continue our commitment that no one will ever be refused counselling due to their inability to pay.

Following our post in March regarding Nicci Bollinger's fantastic fund raising swim, we are delighted to say that Nicci has now collected all of her donations and has paid across the magnificent sum of just short of £2700. We're over the moon with this amazing contribution and want to say a huge thank you to Nicci for for her outstanding efforts on our behalf. Here's a great shot of Nicci, following her swim.
