This question has been very figural in recent sessions for a number of my clients, and it's an interesting one. Simply explained, anxiety will be experienced with a fast pace, an urgency, and a lot of thoughts racing around. Intuition (or instinct) is a felt response and has no urgency to it. Sounds simple, but traumatic or difficult life experiences can muddy the waters in identifying what you are feeling and why.
