It’s International Men’s Day and Men’s Mental Health Month and it’s more important than ever to highlight the importance of supporting men with their emotional well-being.
Men have it tough, it’s a fact! With terms like “man up” banded around, society sends a constant message that expressing your emotions as a man, is not ok. This toxic message is doing so much damage. We need to end this stigma and remind men that they can feel sad too and not only sad but a whole array of emotions and it’s ok!
Opening up, sharing, talking and crying are all perfectly ok. If you are a man currently experiencing some challenges with your well-being or mental health, please reach out and get the help you deserve. If you are supporting a man with their mental health, you’re amazing, keep reminding them that men feel too!
