Welcome to Space to Talk Counselling, I’m Lucy Hills-Gale. I’m a Therapist and yes that means I bring a wealth of knowledge from my training and the 7 years I’ve been practicing. It also means I bring my own lived experience, my personality, my values and who I am as a person. Building that connection and relationship is so important.

Human connection and enriching relational experiences are things that AI simply cannot replicate. Being in a space with someone to bear witness to your feelings and experience is at the core of my therapy.

If you’d like to get to know me and the way I work and if you want to start understanding yourself a bit more, drop me a follow.

I hope that this is the year you find meaning, authenticity and true connection.

All the best and thank you for being here and making my 2025 what it was.

So 2023 is upon us, new year, fresh start. But what if we didn’t put any pressure on ourselves to be different, to change or to be “better”.

What if we stopped focussing on our perceived downfalls and instead celebrated our achievements, wins and highlights of the last year.

Don’t get me wrong, goals, dreams and desires can helpful and motivating. We just sometimes focus too much on creating a new version of ourselves when there is plenty to love about the current version.

Don’t feel pressure to change or be something different or to fulfil a perceived criteria within a set time frame. It’s ok to shift the focus on to growth and getting to know yourself better.

It’s ok to like being you, just the way you are!

I hope this Christmas brings you everything you need. All the best, Lucy

Remember Christmas is not a performance, it doesn’t need to look a certain way or be “perfect”.

Try not to compare yourself to others, social media only shows you the end results, a tiny section curated for the internet.

Focus on making your own traditions and the Christmas that is tight for you.
