This was my “Hidden Gem” nomination for my incredible friend and colleague at convention.
This was shown on the big screen and was a complete surprise to Heather! It felt like such an honour to nominate her and let her know how I feel about her and what she does for the team.
She’s one of those people who genuinely shows up! Not just when it’s easy, but when life is throwing everything at her. She’s at every event, she takes part in all the team training and she’s always the first to offer help or support when someone needs it.
This past year she’s dealt with some really challenging things personally and most people would have stepped back or disappeared for a while. But Heather hasn’t. She’s kept showing up for her business, her clients and for the team. She stays positive, she keeps learning and she keeps pushing forward even on the days when it would be completely understandable if she didn’t.
She brings so much quiet strength, kindness and consistency to the team and I honestly don’t think she realises how inspiring that is. For all of those reasons and for everything she does behind the scenes that most people probably never see, she absolutely deserves this recognition.
