Key Changes Music Therapy

Key Changes Music Therapy Providing professional music therapy services to all ages For many who are referred to us, the powers of speech are at best limited.

Music therapy is a creative therapy, a highly effective largely non-verbal approach to personal therapy. It is increasingly recognised as a valuable part of the care of people, of all ages, who have sensory, physical, learning or neurological disabilities, or who have emotional or communication issues. Music therapy is used to help people work through emotional issues enabling them to cope better with their lives. The approach in music therapy, involves creating music in a live and spontaneous way, although musical skills are not required for someone to benefit from this special work. Over time, a trusting relationship can develop through the music which therapist and client create together. This, in turn, can facilitate physical, mental, social and emotional development. If you are interested in accessing our services, for yourself, or for someone else, please complete our contact form at:

All donations are greatly appreciated and enable those who can benefit from music therapy, young or old, to access our services. Donations can be made via our website:

We'd love to hear from you if you're curious about the great experience of becoming a trustee.

Key Changes are on the lookout for new board members to set the direction of our charity and ensure we maintain the professional standards of which we are so proud.

Let's have a conversation about how your skills and experience might help us be even more impactful! You can reply via our advert on Reach Volunteering or just message us via our social media for an informal chat.

This week, we're hoping our lovely followers can help us. We've had a great welcome at The Pavilion in Eastleigh and it's given us some space and time to find a more permanent home.

We'd very much value your ideas about potential venues that might fit the bill 🀞 Drop us a message if you have any suggestions.

Here's a description of what we're looking for:

Local charity providing life-changing music therapy, mid-Hampshire-based, seeks premises in the area for administrative use (3-4 staff) and music therapy provision (therapist with child or adult client). We are looking for I or 2 medium-sized rooms, quiet yet not sound-restricted, with disabled access and space for equipment storage. We would consider sharing with another organisation. Aiming to relocate during March' 26.

This is a great opportunity to help Key Changes continue our life-changing work. It's a tough environment for charities at present and every contribution and extra bit of support is really gratefully received.

It's been an eventful few weeks for Key Changes Music Therapy. We've now moved on from our previous base in Winnall Community Centre and have found a new space for our core team in The Pavillion on the Park in Eastleigh.

We'll be there on Tuesdays in between being out and about meeting therapists and clients old and new.

We are here for everyone, but we take particular pride in our projects that support young children, older people, and individuals with additional needs.

This week, the Key Changes Board met with our lovely new Patron, James Clutton of Opera Holland Park and shared our collective experiences of leading charities. Watch this space for news on some new ideas to raise awareness and much needed funds. And, thank you James, for sharing some of your story and for helping us to think differently and see new perspectives.

After a long day, music can change how we feel in just a few minutes.

What song helps you feel calm, grounded or comforted in the evening?

These personal connections to music are at the heart of music therapy β€” helping people process emotions, access memories and feel heard when words aren’t enough.

We’d love to know what music means to you
