Your new Dumfries & Galloway Local Support Group is meeting this Saturday!😍

Join group coordinator Janet Cairnie and the Dumfries & Galloway Local Support Group for their first ever meeting at the Robert the Bruce in Dumfries! Janet is a Fellow of the FHT and has previously run the Wigan, Leigh, Rainford and St. Helens Local Support Group before re-locating to Dumfries & Galloway.

Janet says: ‘I am looking to set up a new group in Dumfries and Galloway for everyone with an interest in health and well being. Therapists and friends from whatever background, knowledge and skills! This group is for sharing and networking, covering all topics beauty, complementary or sports and is supported by the (FHT) Federation of Holistic Therapists. Come along and meet other therapists within the Dumfries and Galloway region! It would be so beneficial to us as a community to connect with other therapists / friends with the same interests and background.’

Visit us on stand TJ40 at Therapy Expo 2025. We’re looking forward to meeting you!

We’ve got a special membership offer launching at the event for new sports therapist members, and a prize draw to win a massage gift pack courtesy of Physique!

We’re also pleased to announce that FHT Senior Fellow and Charted Physiotherapist Jane Johnson PhD will be leading two presentations on Thursday 27th November. The first session in the MSK Breakout Room at 9.35 will be: ‘An introduction to Soft Tissue Release: a practical skill you take away with you’. The second session will take place in the main MSK HQ Theatre at 12.10: ‘Why posture matters and quick postural fixes’.

These sessions will both provide practical learning that you can take away and implement with your clients. The first 10 attendees to arrive at the MSK HQ for the 12:10 session will receive a Free Jane Johnson PhD book at the end!

🌟 Our Winners said: ‘This award means the world to me, to acknowledge the Get Into Your Body programme - which is part of the Ixchel System - that we created at the beginning of the COVID pandemic so that we could teach our clients to work with their own bodies, realigning their musculoskeletal system their bones and their joints for themselves. It has been extraordinary to see how we have developed this as an online platform and how we are now training practitioners and working with clients all over the world. It is an innovative process because client after client is saying, "why did no one ever teach me this?", "why did my practitioner or my doctor never show me this?".
