Last week, we spent time together remembering and celebrating VE Day with some truly special moments across our home.

It was lovely to welcome Fair Oak Primary School, who visited to learn about evacuees. We also enjoyed a thoughtful reflection on peace from Crafty Church.

To mark VE Day itself, the wonderful Chanterelle Choir filled the home with wartime songs.

Days like these are so important to our home, keeping memories alive, bringing generations together and reminding us of the importance of peace, community and togetherness.

What a deeply moving afternoon we shared together after a wonderful week of VE Day celebrations with beautiful singing from The Chantrelle Singers Choir.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the day so meaningful, and a special thank you to Jo and Bexy for all your dedication and hard work in creating such a warm and memorable celebration.

We were proud to be sponsors of this event in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

12 hours of teamwork, energy and support led to an incredible £3,700 raised for such an important cause.

It was such a meaningful event to be part of, highlighting the strength of the community coming together for something that matters.

We’re so excited to share that we’re supporting Highbridge Community Farm 🌱

Jen, our Home Admissions Advisor, has joined the project, and Jess, our Senior Carer, kindly gave up her time today to help plant peas.

It’s such a special initiative, everyone who contributes can enjoy fresh, organic produce at a fraction of supermarket prices, while also benefiting from time outdoors and the boost it brings to wellbeing.

More than that, it’s a space where people come together, build connections, and feel part of something meaningful. A place where community really does thrive
