Our phone provider have informed us that we will have an unavoidable disruption to our phone lines on Thursday as we transition to a new platform – hopefully only for around 15 minutes, but it could be longer. Donated food wanted - can you help?

We've supported the charity Salcare, just close to our Heanor funeral home, for a number of years now, as one of a number of food banks we raise money for each Christmas.

This month they've got in touch asking for help to get their food bank through the summer, because record demand means stocks of staples like tinned soup and pasta are severely depleted.

We have handed over a supply to keep them going, but wanted to put out an appeal for more. If you can help, please take it to Salcare, in Ray Street, or leave it with us and we'll take it over!

We love it when a funeral vehicle tells a story, so how about this?

This week we were joined at Bramcote Crematorium by this Land Rover Defender hearse, which we arranged for a lady who had driven the vehicles during her military service days.
