Residents have been enjoying the sunshine today. They’ve been busy planting some flowers for everyone to enjoy over the summer months. If you would like to donate anything for us to brighten up the garden(lights,plants or decorations) please contact the home.

Big thank you to Tony 👏👏👏👏👏for the new addition to the garden. Residents painted the wheel trims and are really pleased with the end result. We are looking for donations of plants or decorations to brighten up the garden. If anyone would like to donate please contact the home

We took part in the big Jubilee lunch today. It was a lovely way to finish our celebrations for the platinum jubilee. As you can see everyone had a lovely time. Now for scones, jam and cream while residents watch the pageant 👸🇬🇧

Last week we celebrated both international nurses day and national doughnut week with doughnuts from Krispy Kreme.
We also held an afternoon tea for the residents which they all really enjoyed especially the cakes 🍰

From Tea Tuesday to Wellbeing Wednesday staff are keeping well fed this week. We personally liked the cakes more 😊.

Staff recognition week is well underway. We have launched our mindfulness picture. The idea is everyone in the home including visitors takes a minute for themselves by adding to the picture and we will then display in the home. The police even took a minute to add a butterfly today. Gwent Police

**UPDATE Phonelines are back up and running thank you for your patience.**
There currently appears to be an issue in the landlines. Last time BT reported this was a locality issue and we are awaiting to see this time. In the meantime the mobile phones are both working.
The landlines will ring but we can't hear anyone.

A massive happy Christmas from our house to yours. The staff and residents at Red Rose hope you've had an amazing time.

Staff and residents warmed up the vocal cords at Red Rose today enjoying the annual Christmas Carol. There was lovely Christmas treats to share too.
Then it was off to the panto (virtually of course) for an amazing performance of Beauty and the Beast.
A great start to the festivities.
Keep an eye out next week for the staffs performance of Little Red Riding Hood on Wednesday.
