We’re excited to be expanding and are looking for a Qualified Dispensing Optician or a very experienced Optical Advisor to join our friendly, patient-focused practices.

Ideally, we’re seeking a fully qualified Dispensing Optician, but we’d also love to hear from highly experienced Optical Advisors ready for their next challenge.

This is a full or part-time opportunity, with the role primarily supporting:

📍 Carolyn Parker Opticians – Penkridge
📍 Malcolm Gray & Associates – Eccleshall
📍 Mincher-Lockett Opticians – Stafford

There is also the opportunity to work across — and occasionally visit — our wider group practices, including Martin Wheeler Optometrists (Pelsall) and Wyn Williams Optometrists (Bradmore, Wolverhampton).

Position: Receptionist

Malcolm Gray and Associates Ltd in Eccleshall and Mincher-Lockett Opticians in Stafford are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated team player to join our team as a Receptionist. We have a position available for either a full-time candidate spread between the two locations or potentially two part-time positions. Saturday work will be required.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and courteous attitude
- Manage incoming calls and scheduling appointments
- Assist patients with inquiries and provide accurate information regarding services
- Maintain a clean and organised reception area
- Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a medical or optical setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills, including email and appointment scheduling software
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Full driving license for travel between the two locations
