Bulking season has begun, up to 95kg now and beginning my slow push up to around 97-98kg. Looking forward to eating like a 🐷 and putting on some quality lean tissue.

Here's to age 26 πŸŽ‚πŸ‘‰

I have always viewed birthdays as a time to think back upon the year, I remember last year on my birthday I was in for my last chance surgery on my elbow. Since then I have had countless challenges, curveballs, hurdles and personal circumstances to overcome but now I'm through the other end I can appreciate despite all that the achievements I have yielded from finally going self employed and joining an amazing new family , building an amazing client base, being in creation of my first app to launch next year, 1 million views on YouTube, personal and physical development and much more.

Thanks to all my support network who keep me thriving and not just surviving through what's been an incredibly challenging year ❀️

🌟 Physiological impact of training post pregnancy 🌟

✨ Something that a lot of women I train who have come back to training post pregnancy underestimate is the psychological impact of training.

✨ During a Pre Natal stage of being told you can't eat this, can't lift that, must do xy and z differently and the over thinking that comes with the pressure of wanting a successful birth, when able to return back to training post natal it's hard to get out of that mindset.

✨ Whilst dependant on various factors such as type of birth, degree of trauma to the body, energy and psychological stage there are still things post natal we can't do immediately with regards exercise selection. It can sometimes be hard to return back to the exercises that you may have done incredibly well before and now feel like you're starting from 0 again with.

✨ Super proud of my client Charlotte here who is progressing at the perfect rate for her body, circumstances and psychological wants.

YouTube Update!

You may have noticed I have been posting more than usual recently as I have had a little bit of spare time (which is super rare)

I get so many requests to do certain video topics but as YouTube is simply a hobby around my main busy workload it can be hard at times to produce at the frequency I would like!

In exciting news I have taken some time out of my busy work to complete topics including rounded shoulders, tfcc tears, ankle sprain rehab, hip mobility routines and more!

I will be drip feeding more of the sports and exercise science series onto my channel for the longer term.

I also have a huge project I start next month as I am posting 3500 videos over the next 18 months of exercise and stretch demonstrations. I can't want to show you all my app and launch my online coaching platform!

Have an amazing day!

Final stages of total knee replacement surgery rehabilitation with Nigel. Here he is on the anti gravity treadmill doing some reverse walking.

What's the point?

Reverse walking differs from forward walking in several key ways. When you walk forwards, there are certain motions that are considered normal gait characteristics. Your leg swings through the air, and your heel lands on the ground first.

Then your straight knee bends slightly as you roll from your heel to your toes. As this occurs, your opposite leg rolls from your toes and up into the air. This heel-to-toe motion repeats, and normal walking occurs.

Reverse walking involves an opposite gait process. Your leg swings through the air and reaches backward with a bent knee. Your toes contact the ground, and your bent knee straightens as you roll from your toes to your heel.

In Nigels case reverse walking helps to improve the function of the quadriceps and to help gain that last few degrees of range of motion.

Training update

Ive been doing more running than ever recently to prepare for Octobers charity event, my body's slowly adapting to running, I've had to do a stupid amount of ankle work to get my ankles happy with carrying my body weight during 15km runs. I'm sure that would be insanely boring to watch so here's some chest press πŸ˜‚
Weights keeping at 90kg but I'm really starting to lean out and strength is staying the same despite energy levels being lower due to the longer running sessions.
9 more weeks to dial in my cardio for the charity event now with all going smoothly I should be able to complete the 100km without too much issue at all!

Want to prepare for your own event with me? Get in touch at Www.UKFitnesshub.com to view my services
