I really had to remind myself of this on Monday.
I woke up feeling fine, got the children into the car to visit my parents and was suddenly met with a wave of crippling anxiety.

It didn’t feel mental. It felt physical.

I could feel it like a blender in my stomach.
My chest felt tight and I couldn’t take a full breath. I had to hold back an overwhelming urge to cry.
I couldn’t pin point what was wrong.
Everything felt wrong.
Everything felt overwhelming and all consuming.
I took control of my breathing and used my own tools to understand, rationalise and push away my anxiety.
