It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas 🎄🎅

A huge thank you to the Sky Cares volunteer team who came along last week to help up decorate our home for Christmas. It’s no small job, 36 bedroom doors to decorate, 7 Christmas trees to build, 3 lounges, 3 dining rooms and of course the front foyer, and more hanging decorations than we can count.

But they did a fantastic job and within a day the home had been transformed. We are so very lucky to have so much community support here at Heatherfield. Now we are ready to go for our Christmas Fayre on Saturday 29th November! And we hope to see you all there on the day 💖

Our weekly fitness sessions with Daniel are becoming increasingly popular. His calm demeanour and gentle energy draws our ladies and gents in and they give it their best every time.

We were delighted to welcome our new Activities Coordinator Emma to join the Heatherfield family this week. Emma spent some time getting to know some of our ladies and gents before we throw her into the deep end. She has come along just in time for Christmas 🎄

This week, as part of our ‘Happy to Help’ program, our David helped maintenance man Colin to redecorate our cinema room. The HtH program encourages our residents to reclaim their independence by engaging in activities that they may have enjoyed in their younger years. Thank you David for a wonderful job 💖

What a fantastic morning we had with Calum from Cool Creatures. These animal handling sessions are always a huge hit and we are always amazed at how brave our ladies and gents are.
