2016 - A DECADE ♥️

A bit more of a personal note from us at EVC today.
2016 was a special year. It marks the year that co owners, Hannah and Morgan met on an Educational music trip in Ghana.

Thrown together as strangers that had to live together in a beautiful town, in a monkey sanctuary, in Ghana for a month. A real twist of fate. Learning Ghanaian singing, dance and drumming, along with (unbeknownst to them) planning what would become EVC.

EVC seemed like a complete pipe dream that would never become anything. Yet here we are. 10 years later, (almost) 5 years of EVC, two studio renovations and a whole lot of memories.

Here to the next 10 years of business and more importantly friendship.

CHEERS TO 2025 ♥️

As we turn on our out of office and lock the studio up for Christmas we wanted to take a second to thank everyone for their continued support.

Like many businesses this has been our toughest year yet. Between renovations, studio moves, welcoming a baby to the gang and actually managing to see clients, it’s been a full on year and we couldn’t do it without our friends, family, incredible clients and EVC community. We can’t even begin to show our thanks for everything that people have done for EVC this year.

We truly can’t wait for all the exciting voice work and workshops we have planned for 2026.

We hope everyone is having time to be with loved ones and relax, however that looks for you.

HANNAH IS BACK 🥰

After being on maternity leave Hannah returns on the 7th November.

Her Calendar will be open on Friday’s until the end of the year.

Starting in January she will be with us Tuesday and Friday. The first three weeks are fully booked, get in touch fast to book in for all your vocal needs.

DAILY VOICE CARE ❤️

Do you ever feel overwhelmed and not sure where to start with a vocal health routine? Us to! That’s why we are huge believers in keeping it simple.

🧘 STRETCH YOUR BODY - Increased flexibility, blood flow and energy in our whole body will help promote healthy voice use due to reduced chance of muscle tension and unwanted holding patterns.
💧 HYDRATE - A hydrated voice is a happy voice. Think about what fluid you are consuming as well as trying to incorporate topical hydration (Steaming and nebulising) into your routine.
💆‍♀️MINDFULNESS - how we feel about ourself and the world around us greatly impact how our body and voice function. Take a moment to try and reset your mind before focusing on your vocal load.
🥤SOVT - SOVT Exercises are a great way to warm up and get your voice started in the day. This can be straw phonation, voiced fricatives, lip trills, tongue trills, the list goes on. They are also great tools for resets throughout the day.
😎 COOL DOWN- A cool down helps take away the vocal stresses of the day and helps prep the voice for the next day. Some relaxed glides on an SOVT Exercise, a stretch and a steam. Simple and effective.
😴 SLEEP- The best way to heal the mind, body and voice. Rest and reset.

DN TURNS 15 ♥️

We were so honoured to attend .edinburgh 15th Anniversary ball.

We both worked for DN Dance for almost 6 years heading up their musical theatre school .
Nicky and Lindsay have been nothing but supportive of EVC even though both of us eventually had to leave DN to allow our dreams to become reality. They have backed us all the way!
Who knows if EVC would have existed had we not worked together for so long at DN.

A wonderful night celebrating a brilliant company ♥️

It’s summertime! We hope you’ve all been enjoying the lovely weather.

We will be closed for a little bit in July to allow us to have a break.

Rachel is back on Thursday 24th July
Morgan is back on Monday 4th August
Hannah is on maternity leave.

Whilst we are closed, emails and voicemails will still be checked, but response time may be slower than usual.
If you have an enquiry about an appointment, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We can’t wait to see you all back in the studio refreshed and ready to get stuck into the Fringe.

JULY AVAILABILITY 🗓️

Availability is limited in July for Vocal Coaching and Vocal Massage.

Morgan and Hannah will be out of the studio for the entirety of July but will be available on email or DM if you have enquiries or wish to book for August.

Rachel will be in the studio and available for bookings on limited days for Vocal Coaching and Vocal Massage.

We recommend booking in advance for July and August to avoid disappointment.
