DN TURNS 15 ♥️

We were so honoured to attend .edinburgh 15th Anniversary ball.

We both worked for DN Dance for almost 6 years heading up their musical theatre school .
Nicky and Lindsay have been nothing but supportive of EVC even though both of us eventually had to leave DN to allow our dreams to become reality. They have backed us all the way!
Who knows if EVC would have existed had we not worked together for so long at DN.

A wonderful night celebrating a brilliant company ♥️

⭐️SPACE AVAILABLE FOR HIRE ⭐️

At Edinburgh Voice Care we have our lovely massage room become available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

We have a two amazing woman who are in the room the rest of the week. ( and )

August is a very busy time in Edinburgh with the Fringe and Edinburgh International Festival as well as a host of other festivals and events happening throughout the month.

It’s summertime! We hope you’ve all been enjoying the lovely weather.

We will be closed for a little bit in July to allow us to have a break.

Rachel is back on Thursday 24th July
Morgan is back on Monday 4th August
Hannah is on maternity leave.

Whilst we are closed, emails and voicemails will still be checked, but response time may be slower than usual.
If you have an enquiry about an appointment, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

We can’t wait to see you all back in the studio refreshed and ready to get stuck into the Fringe.

JULY AVAILABILITY 🗓️

Availability is limited in July for Vocal Coaching and Vocal Massage.

Morgan and Hannah will be out of the studio for the entirety of July but will be available on email or DM if you have enquiries or wish to book for August.

Rachel will be in the studio and available for bookings on limited days for Vocal Coaching and Vocal Massage.

We recommend booking in advance for July and August to avoid disappointment.

We are so excited to offer a 10% discount on FULL PRICE services for those Equity and Musicians’ Union members.

VOCAL MASSAGE…WHO’S IT FOR?

Thinking of getting a vocal massage, but not sure if it’s right for you?

Ask yourself ‘do I have a voice?’ Then ‘do I use it regularly for work?’

The answers are most likely yes…in which case, YES! vocal massage is right for you!

For anyone that uses their voice daily or for intense periods of time, your voice can become tired, fatigued and uncomfortable. We often dismiss this and carry on with our day. However this can lead to more damage to our voice in the future.

Vocal massage is a patient centered treatment using massage techniques on the soft tissue around the chest, neck and face to relax, relieve and soothe vocal discomfort or irregularities.

NEW TEAM MEMBER 👶

Hannah and Dave had a baby! We would like to welcome Ollie Campbell to the world of EVC.
He was born happy and healthy on 16th May ♥️

Hannah will be on maternity leave for the next few months. Morgan will be responding to enquiries but is extremely busy, please allow a little longer if you’re awaiting a reply!

VOCAL CORDS 👄

Food and drink shouldn’t touch your vocal cords. If it does we cough, choke and splutter.

⭐️What touches our vocal cords?

Air and steam touch our vocal cords and can add beneficial hydration. However, if you smoke or v**e this will also touch your vocal cords and can lead to dehydration and discomfort.

⭐️Remedies

Things like hot water and honey or lozenges won’t directly affect the vocal cords but can help you relax mentally and physically.
