Have you had a message to say your prescription is ready and in our machine for collection? If so please come as soon as you can - due to bank holiday build up our machine is bursting at the seams!!
We can’t load new prescriptions so please come and collect today if you can!

Colinton Mains Pharmacy is delighted to tell all our customers that we are now using the Healthera app! This allows you to re-order your repeat prescriptions from the app and we will do the rest to prepare your medication. You should have received a message explaining this, but if not you can pop in and ask us for more details.

We hope that all of our patients and customers will stay safe today. We are open for emergencies but would not encourage you to come out unless it is a real emergency.
Our delivery service will be limited for those who require their dosette box or prescription today and everything else will be delivered on Monday. You can call us to ask to have your prescription put into our prescription collection point to be picked up after the storm has passed.
We are also open as usual tomorrow morning from 9am to 1pm. We hope everyone will take good care today and stay safe.

20th June - **DAY OF ACTION**

The teams in our local, family owned independent pharmacies take pride in providing a first class service to our customers and patients. Community Pharmacy is playing an ever bigger role in the provision of NHS primary care to our communities.

To do this well requires more recognition – our teams need protected learning time to ensure they have the necessary skills to provide new services; our prescribing pharmacists need time to keep their skills updated; stock shortages and price rises mean that medicine procurement takes up large amounts of the team’s time - we must be better supported in doing all of this by the next government.

The contribution of independent community pharmacies to the nation’s healthcare must be recognised. Please, ask your local candidates to support and protect the future development of your vital local Community Pharmacy services.

To all our patients who use our prescription collection point machine: we are very sorry to have to tell you that it has a malfunction which requires an engineer to come out to repair it and cannot be done from a distance. This is affecting a number of Pharmaself machines across Scotland so repairs may take some time 😔

All patients who have already received a code should call into the pharmacy to collect their prescription during opening hours and not attempt to use the machine please. For the rest of the week we will not be sending out codes and apologise that prescriptions will have to be collected from the pharmacy. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation

Thanks to everyone who picked up their prescriptions from C3PO, our 24 hour pick up point today. The pharmacy will close tomorrow, Saturday, at 1pm and re-open on Wednesday 27th Dec at 9am. Similarly we will be closed on Monday and Tuesday 1st and 2nd Jan. We wish all of our customers a very happy festive season and thank you all for the presents that have been handed in and the good wishes and thanks, from all of your team at Colinton Mains Pharmacy
