We have received over 210 Time to Live applications from unpaid carers in our first week of opening, which is a record for us! This just goes to show how much unpaid carers need a break from caring.

For everyone that has applied: our team are working to review your application as quickly as possible. Please bear with us, as you can see we are experiencing a high volume of applications at this time.

To access the application and guidance forms, please go to our website: carers-westlothian.com/time-to-live/

We have an opportunity for our service users to complete a first aid course, Saturday 24th May here at our centre in Livingston.

Running from 9:30am until 4:30pm, it's a great opportunity to learn some basic first aid skills covering CPR, bleeding, burns, choking and more! All successful participants will receive an HSE-approved certificate.

This course is open to all adults registered with us; however, a level of mobility is expected as you will need to complete each section of the training successfully.

Places are limited, if you would like to register interest or find out more, give us a phone on 01506 448000 or email support@carers-westlothian.com

Its just under one week until the pilot of our new online dementia carers support group starts on 12 May!

Online support group for carers looking after someone with dementia. You may already know about our group that meets monthly in-person but sometimes getting here can be difficult for carers for many reasons. We hope this evening online group gives more carers the opportunity to join our supportive and friendly carer community.

When: 2nd Monday of each month, 7-8pm
Where: on zoom

Not sure if peer support is for you! Here's what a carer recently told us - 'I wish I had come sooner on our dementia journey. Peer support has been one of the most helpful things.'

If you are interested in joining the online group get in touch for details. Email support@carers-westlothian.com or call 01506 448 000
