Everyone was voting on this. And the results were fascinating!
100% of people move move when anxious
However it was pretty much a 50/50 split on whether they preferred slow or fast movement, regardless of whether feeling calm or anxious.
I love that it shows how we just want to move to shift the anxious feelings and tension, but I thought that maybe people might prefer slower / quieter movement when calm, and more dynamic when anxious and I LOVED to see that my hypothesis was wrong. This is why I love feedback on classes and suggestions from you all on what you might want to do on any given week.
The signature Rock & Relax class I offer has the best of both….. it’s a yin yang style where we move first, to shift some of that anxious energy and tension, then we slow down to the calmer slower movements that can be more intentional and steady.
