There have already been so many smiles, laughter, and happy moments since it arrived, and we know it’s going to bring so much joy to our residents. 🌟

Yesterday we kicked off Dementia Awareness Week with a Boxes of Memories event. Residents looked through old photographs of Edinburgh, vintage food labels and bus passes, and ate some fondly remembered sweeties. This was great for reminiscence and they taught our staff a lot!

We had a wonderful day doing some intergenerational outdoor crafts at Lauriston Lodge, partnered with a local nursery. Residents enjoyed chatting with the children and helping them with their art projects, which ended up being these bumblebees made of wood scraps. 🐝
