☔️ The rain might be falling, but it’s not slowing us down one bit! Inside, we’re keeping spirits high with ball games, chess, music, book club chats and knitting. There's always fun to be had, rain or shine!

Harp Strings & Games Galore! We loved our recent harp concert, what a treat! Add in a few fun new games, and it was an afternoon full of joy, music and friendly competition 🎶🃏

Book Club Throwback! One of our recent reads was Tapping Feet, a heartfelt and beautifully written story that hits close to home… quite literally! It features our care homes ❤️

The book, by Lewine Mair, explores the journey of her husband, Norman Mair, as he lived with dementia. Norman, a celebrated Scotland rugby and cricket player, spent his later years in our care.

Thorburn Manor was the place where music, laughter and the remarkable spirit of our residents and staff helped spark cherished memories. What a moving discussion this book inspired at our monthly book club meet-up! 🎶

We’ve had a wonderful week full of family picnics (photos coming soon! 📸), plus plenty of chair exercises and card games to keep everyone smiling. Time really does fly when you’re having fun - rain or shine!

This Sunday, we’re raising a glass (and a fork!) as we celebrate fathers past and present with a pie and pint too 🍻

It’s been a week full of smiles! We had a wonderful time at the Pentland Tea Dance at the local community centre – the cream tea and music were just fabulous! 🎶🫖

We’ve also enjoyed more barge trips and keeping fit! And we shared a bittersweet goodbye with our little friends from Bonaly Nursery as they head off to Primary 1. Isn’t the card they made just adorable? We’ve truly loved having them visit us!
