✨I’m studying a philosophy module as part of my next Anusara 300 hour training with the inspirational Jayendra Hanley.

💙We are studying the Pratayabhijna-Hrdayam known as “the heart of recognition” or sometimes “the recognition of the heart”.

🧵🪡There are 20 sutras in this text - a bit like stitching words together to explain a concept. Below are two different translations from the Sanskrit of the first sutra.

“Awareness, free and independent, is the cause of the performance of everything.” (Wallis)

“Jaw-dropping wonder…in unfettered freedom, the cause of the universe is This.” (Ruvinsky)

🙏I really like the second translation as to me my flowers which have grown from seed are wondrous.

😌🔔🛁What a lovely afternoon treating my students to 90 minutes of deep relaxation.

✨We began with restorative yoga followed by yoga nidra (guided meditation) and finished with a Soundbath using Himalayan Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Sun Gong and therapeutic percussion.

🌱🪏🪴Inspiration for the session was from the Goddess Sita who was born of the earth and is known for her love of gardening. I’ve been growing cut flowers from seed this year thanks to .floral.project and gifted posies to each student at the end of the session. Then was out in my garden potting on my seedlings till after dark 😂

Some of my participants have had the same experience which is brilliant 🙏

There is promising evidence that the BAST method of sound therapy alleviates chronic pain. In our latest research, we surveyed 120 participants who attended sound therapy sessions and reported on its effects on their chronic pain.

🟤 12% of participants experienced complete relief from chronic pain within 2 to 4 sessions.
⚪ 24% no longer experienced continuous pain.
🟤 There was an 18% decrease in the number of individuals taking medication for baseline pain.
⚪ 21% experienced relief from uncontrolled breakthrough pain.
🟤 17% reported having no pain at all.

These findings are highly encouraging and suggest that conducting a more focused instrument or method-specific study would be a valuable next step.
