A massive congratulations to both Jaypee and Mireia who have both won our December employee of the month award!

Jaypee and Mireia are two of our wonderful Care Assistants and the passion they have for Care is felt and seen throughout the home everyday. We are very proud to have them as part of team Struan and we appreciate the hard work you both put in everyday, as do our lovely residents.

Yesterday our lovely residents enjoyed our yearly CCG Christmas party at Sighthill bowling club. We had loads of festive fun with a Panto and a lovely Christmas buffet. We had an amazing afternoon!

The smell of freshly baked treats has been filling the home recently as residents rolled up their sleeves to make empire biscuits and scones. There was plenty of laughter and maybe a little flour flying as everyone joined in with mixing, cutting and decorating.

The finished bakes were, of course, enjoyed with a nice cup of tea in the lounge. Baking sessions like these are always a favourite, giving residents the chance to share recipes, swap stories, and enjoy that wonderful feeling of creating something together.

We have been talking about how we make the home more homely and asking residents and families what we could do. A common theme was naming our floors. We had so many wonderful suggestions we decided to name our corridors. We went with flowers as was the most popular choice. One of our wonderful residents John chose sunflower, we have named Johns corridor with his choice. He was over the moon and enjoyed posing for a picture under our new signs.
