Today we had a wonderful visit from ZooLab. Residents enjoyed a fantastic morning meeting a variety of amazing animals, including a giant snail, stick insect, tortoise, tarantula, gecko, and even a snake. It was a truly engaging and enjoyable experience for everyone, and a lovely morning filled with smiles and excitement🐍🐢

Last week, residents enjoyed spending time outdoors with a relaxing bike ride together. The fresh air, beautiful weather, and friendly conversation made it a fun and refreshing morning for everyone involved. It was wonderful to see residents staying active, sharing smiles, and enjoying each other’s company while taking in the scenery. Activities like these are a great way to encourage wellbeing, social connection, and enjoyment of the outdoors, and everyone had a fantastic time🚲 thank you Joy Rides - a breath of fresh air

Today the residents thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a creative bead art activity. Everyone had a wonderful time designing and making their own colourful bracelets and keychains using a variety of different beads, shapes, and colours. The activity encouraged creativity, concentration, and social interaction, with residents happily chatting together, sharing ideas, and helping one another choose designs and patterns

Over 2 days last week, Struan Lodge had its Quality Audit. We are delighted to announce that the home has demonstrated an overall improvement. Although the report has not yet been finalised, it has been indicated that the hard work by the Manager and her Team has been recognised and that the percentage score has increased.
RSM Lesley Johnston was at the home today to present the Manager, Angie Sinclair, with some flowers in recognition of her amazing achievement! The team were also presented with some cakes!

Today we were delighted to welcome Danny “Feels Good,” who visited and provided a lively session of singing and dancing for the residents. The atmosphere was full of energy and enjoyment, with many residents joining in, singing along, and engaging with the music. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and such positive interaction throughout the activity. Danny created a warm and uplifting environment, and the session was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended🕺🏻

We were delighted to welcome a visit from our guinea pig friends, which brought great joy to all of our residents. At our weekly baking club, residents came together to make scones, enjoying both the social atmosphere and the hands-on experience.
