Burnout is more than simply feeling tired or stressed.

It’s often the result of prolonged emotional, mental, or physical pressure without enough time to properly recover.

It can be caused by ongoing workplace stress, constant demands, lack of balance, emotional overload, or feeling unable to switch off for extended periods of time.

For many people, burnout can feel like constant exhaustion, reduced motivation, difficulty concentrating, irritability, emotional numbness, or feeling overwhelmed by tasks that once felt manageable!

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) is a structured, skills-based therapy that combines elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills techniques.

DBT is designed to help individuals better manage overwhelming emotions, cope with stress more effectively, and build healthier thought patterns and behaviours over time.

During your free assessment call, our senior assessors will talk through your concerns, preferences, and what you hope to achieve, helping recommend the most suitable therapeutic approach for your individual needs.

Many of our therapists are also trained across multiple modalities, allowing therapy to adapt and evolve over time using a more integrated and personalised approach as your needs change!

Clinical hypnotherapy uses a natural state of focused attention and relaxation to help access the subconscious mind and support positive behavioural change.

Often used to help with areas such as anxiety, habits, phobias, and emotional wellbeing, hypnotherapy can provide a calm and supportive space for deeper healing and personal growth.

By working with the subconscious mind, the process aims to help create healthier patterns, greater self-awareness, and lasting positive change over time!

Burnout rarely happens overnight.

More often, it builds gradually through ongoing stress, pressure, and feeling constantly overwhelmed without enough time to properly recover.

Some of the common signs can include feeling emotionally drained, struggling to concentrate, losing motivation, becoming more irritable, difficulty switching off, or feeling exhausted even after resting.

You might also notice things you once enjoyed starting to feel heavier or harder to manage than usual.

Mental health challenges continue to affect many people within the LGBT+ community, often shaped by experiences of discrimination, isolation, or feeling unable to fully be themselves.

Research from Stonewall found that 61% of LGBT people experienced anxiety over the past year, while half reported experiencing depression.

Statistics like these highlight the importance of supportive environments, open conversations, and access to understanding communities and services.

Because feeling accepted, safe, and supported can make a meaningful difference to wellbeing.

Yes, the NHS provides a range of mental health services, including talking therapies, counselling, specialist support, and crisis care. In many areas, you can also self-refer for therapy without needing to see a GP first.

However, demand for services is high, which can sometimes mean long waiting times, limited session availability, or fewer options when it comes to choosing a therapist or appointment times.

Private support may offer faster access, greater flexibility, and a more personalised approach, allowing you to choose a therapist that feels right for you and begin support sooner!
