This week I said goodbye to someone I’ve been treating for almost a year, as they head off to a new chapter down south.
Every few weeks, they would walk through my door and share parts of their life with me — the ordinary days, the adventures, and everything in between.
We started where they were, with their history and what they were carrying with them.
& together, we’d work through how their body was moving and their pain was responding: where they felt they held tension, where I noticed it too, and how we could create a little more ease, we gave their mind and body space to change.
Sessions aren't just about the physical work. They are also about giving someone the space and time to focus on themselves — and, for a while, not have to carry everything alone.
One of the things I love most about working with people over a longer period of time is how the sessions evolve alongside them. We both learn what they need, adapt as things change, and get to witness the quiet shifts that happen over time.
Now they’re off on new adventures and new journeys, and I know I’ll think of them often and wonder how they’re getting on.
It’s a privilege to be trusted with people’s stories as much as their bodies.
I am sad to say goodbye, but glad I got to meet them, and hopefully help them just a little bit.
If you’re looking for someone to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and carry things a little less alone, I'm here.
