We’re working hard to raise the funds to get to Chelsea Flower Show because this isn’t just a visit - it’s a chance to tell our story.

We’ve seen first-hand how quickly wildflower meadows are disappearing and how much wildlife depends on them. What was once common is now rare, and many people don’t realise what’s being lost.

We want to be there to show that meadows aren’t just beautiful spaces; they are living systems that support pollinators, improve soil, capture carbon, and reconnect people with nature. By sharing what we’ve learned, we hope to inspire others to protect, restore, and value these landscapes before they’re gone.

Getting to Chelsea means giving a voice to the small, often overlooked places.

What a fabulous evening at with , celebrating the life of Soil Association founder Eve Balfour in her childhood farm (Papple Steading). It was wonderful to hear so many inspirational tales from those affected by the soil associations work, as well as to share tales of conservation and regeneration with fellow table guests! Looking forward to working with the Soil Association this year on our research project (looking at quantifying produce quality from our meadows), and hopefully working towards our organic certification too! Huge thanks goes to who have been great Seilich supporters (and who sell our tea in their rather fabulous cafe/restaurant!).

❗️NEW WORKSHOP FOR 2026

Are you looking for something special to do this Mother’s Day?

Come along to the meadow this spring and learn from our very own meadow expert Dr Sally Gouldstone how to create a wildflower meadow of your very own.

Perhaps you’re keen to convert a patch of lawn to a meadow, you’ve scattered seed before only to have zero wildflowers appear, or just have an interest in wildflowers and ‘natural’ gardening.

Whatever your interest come along for an informal but information packed morning!

Tickets are available for £10 for attendance only, or £45 for attendance plus one of our Meadow Ritual Sets, which contain wildflower seeds along with a jar of our Meadow Herbal Tea and a Meadow Hand Lotion!

This would make a lovely Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day gift - the first date is March 14th (Mothers day weekend).

So what’s happening in the meadow at the moment?

In winter, a meadow may look grey and lifeless, but it’s simply resting.

Plants die back above ground while roots and bulbs stay alive below. Seeds wait in the soil, often needing the cold to germinate. Insects and small mammals shelter in grasses and stems, and fallen plant matter enriches the soil.

But spotting these nettles was a beautiful reminder that brighter days are coming. Life is stirring, even when we can’t always see it.
