Free trial class (only a couple spaces left!)

*Golf classes starting on Wednesday the 4th June*

There will be a 1pm class and a 4pm Class

We are delighted to introduce our golf classes starting this week with our very own PGA Golf coach Ross.

Our classes will support people to try golf and learn/improve on the fundamentals of the sport.

Classes will consist of Pitching and Putting skills, use of our Golf Simulator and strength based work.

The classes will be capped at 3 to ensure maximum support with one space per class for those needing to utilize our paragolfer.

There will of course be a free trial for those wishing to try a class and as always our classes offer an excellent opportunity for peer support with refreshments provided.

George was told he wouldn't be able to work a manual wheelchair himself. Yesterday we decided to give it a go and see how he got on. This was George's first attempt to propel himself

It's been a while since we've had a wee update from Joanne. Joanne has gone through a few big changes like living in her own house with her sister Joyce, to help with this Joanne has worked on getting up from the floor unassisted, giving her the choice to use an aide or doing it by herself. We have also worked on her leg strength, which will help with walking, where Joanne can choose to walk unassisted somewhere she is comfortable or to be out longer and enjoy doing things she likes. Tying in with the leg strength, we have worked on Joanne's balance, making her feel stronger standing up and in control when getting ready to move or do an activity

The video is the super workout. Starting on the ground, getting herself up unassisted, pulling the sled before pushing it back. A serious amount of work but Joanne smashed it.

Big announcement!! DR Inclusive Golf⛳️

DR Inclusive Fitness, Scotland’s first gym for disabled people, is proud to announce that we are opening Scotland’s first indoor golf venue for disabled people fully equipped with a paragolfer!!! A paragolfer is a mobility chair that lifts people from a seated to a standing position and we are very excited to have one at our venue.

We want to emulate what we have achieved with our gyms within the fitness industry by making golf more accessible and creating a pathway for disability golf in Scotland. We are also excited to be doing some things in partnership and to have the backing of Scottish Golf and are also very grateful for the help and advice from our friends at the Golf Trust who we are also looking forward to working with in the future.

We are not moving too far from our roots though as the venue will also have our usual gym equipment so we can still look at how golf and the gym can help with daily living. Along with our usual personal training and massage packages we will also be offering 1-2-1 adult and kids PGA golf lessons, small group sessions that will incorporate both golf practice and exercise as well as the opportunity to play golf.

We will be having an open day on Saturday the 23rd November where people can come along and see the venue. We will also be booking slots for those who would like to try the paragolfer. We will post more information on this and the open day and be sending out emails to our mailing list early next week.
