The UK childhood vaccination schedule has changed.

Children will continue to be protected against the same diseases, just with different timings.

Parents and carers should continue to attend vaccination appointments as scheduled and speak to your health visitor with any questions. Details of the changes can be found here: https://ow.ly/rf1g50Wjaht

We've further expanded the use of text message for patient communication. You might get a text from ‘NHS Lothian’ to log in to a secure portal with a unique PIN and your date of birth.

Once logged into the portal, you may be asked to update your details and will be able to access electronic letters about your care. By updating your details, we can ensure that appointments are only issued to those who still need them.

The new text message service will be complemented by more traditional communications methods, ensuring no patient is excluded.
