After all that snow, the true start to this year's classes starts tomorrow 🎉

We'll start this year as we always do by turning to the 8 Limbs of Yoga to guide the theme of practice.

First up is the Niyamas (ethical restraints) and the first of those is Ahimsa (non-violence/harm)

Interested in how this fits into the physical practice of Yoga? Come and see!

Exciting times in 2026! And with the start of any new chapter, it's often a great time to set intentions. If one of your intentions includes strength, flexibility, equilibrium and balance why not come and practice yoga with me in the sanctuary of Noust Studio

All bookable at www.picktime.com/sarasanayoga

The first class back will be Tuesday's January 6th Yoga Flow (a mix of Vinyasa and Slow Flow) class, weekly 17:40-18:40

Next up with be the new Introduction to Yoga, starting Thursday January 8th 19:00 - 20:00 and running for 5 weeks. This block of classes will be run every 4 months.

On Sunday the 18th starts weekly evening Restorative Yoga, 19:00 - 20:00 a perfect way to start the new week restored and grounded!

Then after the mid-term break, a weekly daytime Chair Yoga class will start on the 25th of Feburary, Tuesdays 13:15 - 14:00.

There's a range of pricing available with a 5-week All Class Pass for £66, working out at £3.30/class if you make all 4 every week and about the same as a drop-in class if you make 6 hour long classes in the 5 weeks.

Every new year I also reintroduce The Eight Limbs of Yoga in my Tuesday evening class, so I'll soon do a post on that too ✨ Beacuse some of the sub-limbs and limbs encourage meditation I'll also weave this themeing into the Restorative Yoga Class this year 🥰

Trust the music, trust the flow!

I've been leaning into the energy of it all more and more as these years roll on.

I may have boked at these words when I was younger, or maybe a high note would have resonated. It's hard not to see or feel it now. Class planning and each class is much like playing an instrument, allowing those unknown parts of myself to sense and respond, to lead in a meaniful direction for those who attend.

I use to be all plans and strict adherence, but it's been beautiful to let the trust grow and the playfulness as well.

Om Shanti ✨

This year I'm finishing out my regular Tuesday evening classes on December 16th with a 2hr Christmas Special designed to press that reset button on your nervous system, give you a place to land, connect and restore - designed and run in collaboration with Kirsteen Stewart ✨

www.picktime.com/sarasanayoga
(head to the date and choose the 'yoga flow' class 😉)

Inspired by the stress both Kirsteen and I have heard so many of you express, and that level of activity and busyness that can come this season! Gift yourself this time where you can pause.

We'll intertwine yoga and reiki, and finish with some festive nibbles and drinks.

A few spots are already filled, sign up sooner rather than later to avoid disappointment. We'd love to see you there!

I believe a lot in both systems and flexibility. Systems that help me create the life and experience I want, and flexibility when enevitably those stytems don't go to plan. Adapt, change, recalibrate, keep going.

They don't always pan out, but the one with the right intention I keep tying at, with ease.

Putting my phone away a certain times, trying to a along life at particular hours. How can we all be present in an every technology centric world.

What are your systems, if you have any?

New Class!

Every quarter year I'll be running a 5-week Introduction to Yoga course for those interested in the practice, who've never tired it before. But the course is also great for those wanting to review the fundamentals and find adaptations specific for their body.

The course will start January 8th and run for 5 consecutive weeks on Thursdays 19:00-20:00.

You can book into the course at www.picktime.com/sarasanayoga >> Classes >> Introduction to Yoga and head to January 8th.

Any questions just pop me a message 😊

Bringing meditation off the mat✨

I focus a lot on classical meditation techniques for quiting the mind. Focusing on the breath or the body sensations, self-compassionately bringing the attention back to this focus when the mind has wandered. Beginning again and again, as many times as you need, as Kathryn Nicolai of the First This podcast would say.

Even if your practice is small this method can be hugely transformative and can be a metaphor in action for focus, awareness and mindfulness in other aspects of our life.

I've got this 'rushing' part. Weather something I activated early on to compensate for inattentive ADHD or what, it's been both super helpful to and super disregulating for me. The best part of transformation is the moments you finally catch yourself in the act of something you perviously only ever noticed after the fact, say when you'd reached burn out or disregulation, or even disassociation or despression. This pause and observance is the first sign that real change is happening!

And it's in this way meditation can be so helpful on and off the mat. Building your non-judgemental awareness of in the moment actions in both meditation practice, and then hopefully beyond that too.
