We are delighted to welcome the team from NHS Lothian Vaccination Clinic on THURSDAY 19th JUNE to the Hub. You MUST check their website for full details for eligibility, or ask your doctor's surgery. https://www.nhslothian.scot/vaccinations/routine-shingles-vaccination/ or use the QR code.

Vaccine Eligibility Shingles:
People aged 65 or 66 on 01 September 2024.
People aged 70 or over on 01 September 2024 until their 80th birthday.
People aged 50 or over with a severely weakened immune system.
People who are about to start immunosuppressive therapy.
People aged 18 or over who have received a stem cell transplant or CAR-T therapy within the last 2 years.

Pneumococcal Vaccine
All individuals aged 65 years and over.
People with certain medical conditions, including:
Spleen problems
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
Heart, kidney, or liver conditions
Chronic respiratory diseases
Diabetes requiring medication
Suppressed immune system

Spring 2025 COVID-19 Vaccination Programme
Starting 31 March 2025, the following groups are eligible for a spring COVID-19 vaccine:
Individuals aged 75 or over.
Residents of care homes for older adults.
Individuals aged 6 months and over with a weakened immune system

Due to a red level warning for high winds, we will offer limited services on Friday 24th January. This warning indicates dangerous travel conditions and potential risk to life. We will only handle medically urgent issues. Some prebooked appointments can be affected.

All urgent requests will be managed by our GPs via telephone, with in-person consultations only if absolutely necessary. Non-urgent issues should be addressed after the weekend. House visits are unlikely due to staff travel risks. Housebound patients with urgent issues should request a GP call-back or call 999 for emergencies. Blood test and nurse appointments can be affected. If you think your nurse appointment can be rescheduled please contact the surgery. Please try to avoid travelling to or visiting the surgery if you are not been asked to do so.
Please be patient and help our clinical and administrative staff to keep the essential services running.We expect to resume normal operations on Monday 27th January. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during these difficult conditions.
