Finding mindful moments in the kitchen 🥰🙏
Just lately I’ve found myself baking… a lot! I think it started when I was in a local cafe and noticed they were selling white chocolate and cherry scones, I thought, I think I’ll try and make those at home. Then it was tray bakes, then cupcakes, then banana bread and on and on!
I’m having an extra busy time at the moment and I’ve found the baking is giving me distraction from thinking about everything else that’s going on.
The need to pay attention to all the measurements.
Getting lost in mixing and needing dough.
The creativity of messing around trying to make it look fancy.
The learning getting it wrong.
The sense of achievement getting it right.
The sharing.
The happy faces.
I’m definitely a feeder! And very much looking forward to sharing more homemade sweet treats at the next Soundbath event! 😋
I guess it’s about finding moments of mindfulness throughout the day, every day.
Practicing just being in the moment 💛
