A beautiful afternoon spent with Liz Brown and her wonderful family on Sunday to celebrate Max Brown’s life…and here’s Daisy and Liesl planting flowers in memory of their Papi, making our hospice garden even more beautiful.
Liz will be eternally gratefully to Marie Curie for our support, love, and expert care while Max was terminally ill, and our ongoing support. Max wanted to be at home and with our help he received his wish with his family members around him. Liz is a huge supporter of Marie Curie and has donated a total of £12k - we are so grateful for such a generous gift, £10k of which supports the running of Edinburgh Hospice for one day.
Liz has also joined our Berwickshire Fundraising Group and her son Matthew Brown is participating in the Great North Run in September on behalf of Marie Curie, and we wish Matthew all the very best with his challenge.
Max would have been 59 today…happy birthday Max 🤍
Our Papi
Papi went on walks with us
He told funny ‘dad’ jokes and played with us
He made us laugh and be happy!
He made up a good song about different types of clothing; it was very funny.
We would sing it when we went on walks with the dogs
He would take us shopping all the time and spend time with us.
He meant so much to us and we know he is always watching from above
