Lucy No Lotus Yoga

Lucy No Lotus Yoga I first tried yoga when I was 13 but it wasn’t until I was at university that I began to build a more regular practice.

Yoga teacher and lifelong student in Edinburgh, valuing creativity and enjoyment through practice and playfulness rather than perfection.

200 hour Yoga Alliance Certified Foundation Training - May to September 2017
100 hour Yin Yoga Training - March 2018 Since my early 20s I have enjoyed exploring a variety of styles, including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iynengar, Kundalini, Aerial and Yin. My classes are a slow flow with elements of the above practices. I completed my 200-hour foundation training in 2017 and took a further 100-hour training in Yin and Advanced Anatomy in 2018. I have found the practice of yoga to be invaluable in supporting my physical, emotional and mental health and I find an incredible sense of joy in sharing this with others.

Hi! I'm still here doing my thing and been in a groove of not doing much on social media.

For anyone with £3 in their pocket I'd love you to donate to the Edinburgh Community Yoga fundraiser. They work so darn hard to spread the yoga love. Details shared below.

P.S. If inappropriate apostrophes offend you, just turn a blind eye!

This is an incredible book. I inhaled it once and I'm now part way through a second reading and it's just as powerful this time.

It's definitely had a big influence on since I first picked it up. Maybe not so much what I teach, more like how whilst reinforcing the why at the same time.

I can't recommend it enough. It's probably not an entry-level read, but if you have a basic understanding of yoga philosophy give it some of your time.

I return to teaching real humans this week, which is very exciting!

The online classes are staying put for everyone that enjoys practicing from the comfort of their living room, free to make any noise and angle the camera in any direction.

Tonight was definitely they most relaxing savasana there's ever been at the end of a class I've taught, with thanks to the Red Arrows that flew straight over my flat.

One of the things I miss most about 3D yoga classes is hearing people laugh at me when I confuse words in my head and say something ridiculous, which happens a lot.

Tonight instead of encouraging people to imagine they were holding a tray of delicacies I suggested they hold a tray of delicates. Ummm I was trying to create an image of fine dining, not going to M&S to buy pants.

Sorry folks!
